The Stilwell Charitable Fund is a directed charitable fund that primarily supports the visual arts, education and environmental causes through grants, awards, and various outreach programmes. The Fund encourages inquiries but does not generally accept or respond to unsolicited grant requests.

The Stilwell Fund for the Visual Arts provides grants and awards to institutions, organizations, projects, and individual artist in all fields of the visual arts, with a preference for documentary film, photography, and architectural/design related work with aesthetic, historical, scientific, or educational significance.

The Stilwell Fund for Advanced Media in Education provides grants and awards to institutions, organizations, projects, and individual educators using new media to develop new pedagogical tools, methods, or content for science, math, philosophy, or social science education at all levels. We have a strong preference for cross-disciplinary constructivist projects and non-traditional approaches to subject matter.

The Stilwell Fund for Environmental Education provides grants and awards to institutions, organizations and projects focused on discovering, developing, implementing or funding long-term sustainable solutions to energy and environmental challenges.
